Plan Your Leisure Trip In Lombok!

    (Vip Easy Trip Indonesia)

Lombok is an island in the West Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. It is part of the chain of the Lesser Sunda Islands, with the Lombok Strait separating it from Bali to the west and the Alas Strait between it and Sumbawa to the east.

Located just east of Bali, Lombok in many ways lives up to or exceeds the promotional term, "an unspoiled Bali". With beautiful beaches, enchanting waterfalls, the large, looming volcano of Mount Rinjani combined with relatively few tourists, Lombok is indeed the paradisiacal tropical island that many people still mistakenly imagine Bali to be now.

    North Lombok

North Lombok is where you can embark on the great hike to Mount Rinjani, the 3,726 m Mount Rinjani, an active stratovolcano.

Rinjani is also the second-highest volcano in Indonesia, second only to Mount Kerinci on Sumatra, and is Indonesia's third-highest peak.

The Rinjani mountain and its the surrounding slopes form the Mount Rinjani National Park (Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani).

The park is made up of 41,000 hectares within the park boundaries and a further 66,000 hectares of protected forest outside.

North Lombok offers stunning landscapes and long curves of deserted beaches.

Jungles and rain forests, waterfalls, rivers and unique flora and fauna makes North Lombok region an ideal area for those who appreciate true natural beauty.

    West Lombok

West Lombok is the principal area of tourist activity and endeavour in Lombok. It has the most facilities including hotels, restaurants, tour companies, car and motorbike rental operators, western and locally oriented bars, clubs and restaurants.

The focus of this activity is upon the township Senggigi including it's lineal satellites along the coast north to the quieter and pretty Mangsit beach and Klui beach, and south to Batu Bolong, Batu Layar and Montong.

Famous for its basket ware, pottery and ikat hand woven textiles, Lombok has exceptional charm and is relatively undiscovered

West Lombok is a hub of activity on this quiet island and a great place to stay the night at to explore the surrounding Gili Islands, the natural landscape surrounding Mount Rinjani

    or gorgeous beachfront resorts.

    Central Lombok

Central Lombok is where the lovely beaches are situated. Kuta Beach, Tanjung A’an, and Mawun Beach are just a few on the list.

Don’t miss out to brush up your wave riding skills in the splendid Selong Belanak Beach, or make way to Merese Hill and enjoy the view.

Quiet rural villages and beaches and ferry departures eastward to Sumbawa and onward to Flores.

Here you can also visit the traditional villages and join the locals of Sasak tribe to experience their daily life in the weaving village of Sade and Rambitan.

You may learn a thing or two from the wonderful women with meticulous weaving skills that produces fine quality textiles.
