The Denpasar Tourism Agency Hopes Bali’s Upcoming Reopening Plan Stays On Track

As reported by thebalisun.com, Officials from the Denpasar Tourism Agency hopes that the central government’s plan to reopen the international travel corridor in Bali will stay on track.

 

Dezire Mulyani. the head of Denpasar Tourism Agency encourages the central government to keep the plan to reopen the border for international visitors on track by October 2021, as most of the preparation stages to create a safer environment for travelers such as Clean Health Safety Environment (CHSE) certification and QR code scanning have been properly implemented in the majority of tourism areas on the island.

 

“Tomorrow is the beginning of October but we haven’t received an announcement regarding the reopening, we really hope that the central government won’t cancel it again like in the past.” Mulyani said on Thursday afternoon (30/9). Mulyani claimed that all of the tourist spots across Denpasar such as beaches and shopping malls have implemented QR code scanning as an entry requirement for visitors.

 

“Apart from tourist attractions and shopping malls, several accommodation businesses such as cafes, restaurants and hotels have started utilizing PeduliLindungi tracing during their operation even though it’s not mandated for them.” Mulyani added. 

 

However, she admitted that the majority of accommodation businesses in Denpasar were not certified with CHSE due to its complicated process. 

“According to our data, only 40% of our accommodation businesses have been certified with CHSE due to its limited quota from the central government. Some businesses were not certified because they still decided to close their operations.” Mulyani concluded.
